The matching is the work
About Home Care in Miramar
Washing, meals and company are much the same wherever you buy them. Who does them, and whether the household took to that person, is the whole difference.
A small agency that introduces people
We provide non-medical home care across south Broward County: help with washing and dressing, moving safely about the house, meals, light housekeeping and plain company. Private pay, bought by the hour.
Agencies of this kind compete on two things, and only one of them is visible from outside. The visible one is the list of services, which is near enough identical everywhere. The other is who walks through the door on Tuesday morning, and nothing on a website tells you that.
So we stopped trying to tell you and started arranging for you to find out. Every placement begins with a name, a description of a person rather than a role, and an hour in your own front room with nothing booked and nothing signed.
It makes us slower to start than agencies that can have somebody there tomorrow. It also means that when the work does begin, it begins with a household that has already said yes to a particular person — and that is what makes an arrangement last past the first month.
How a name gets put forward
Four things are weighed before anybody is suggested, and none of them is simply who is available.
Manner before credentials
Two aides with identical training can land completely differently in the same room. We weigh pace, talkativeness and patience first, because those are what a household lives with.
Distance from the house
A long drive erodes punctuality and then the slot itself. Aides living near the street get put forward first, which is why coverage follows where our people live.
The shape of the week
Somebody who can hold an early shower every weekday is a different proposition from somebody ideal for a long Saturday visit. We match to the diary you actually need.
Who covers the gaps
A second name is chosen at the same time as the first, so holiday and illness do not turn into a stranger arriving unannounced.
Tell us about the household
Who lives there, what has become difficult, and what sort of person they get on with. That last one matters more than families expect.
