Private Pay Home Care in Miramar

Arranged and paid for directly by the family, by the hour, with the figure discussed on the first telephone call rather than produced at the end of a visit.

What private pay actually buys you

Paying directly is more expensive than the alternatives and it buys two things that the alternatives cannot. The first is speed: there is no eligibility process between the decision and the first visit. The second is control over who comes.

That second one is the reason this agency exists in the shape it does. When a family is paying for the hours, it is entirely reasonable for them to meet the person first, say no without justifying it, and ask for somebody else later. None of that is a favour.

Hours can be increased, cut back or paused as the situation moves, in either direction. Nothing here depends on a review date arriving.

Everything arranged here is private pay. There is no eligibility process, no waiting list and no third party deciding what a household is allowed.

What that means in practice is that the family is the client, and the family can change their mind — about the hours, the days or the aide — with a telephone call.

How the money works

Plainly, and said out loud before anybody visits.

An hourly rate, stated early

Discussed on the first call, with the minimum visit length, so no figure arrives as a surprise.

Priced by the kind of help

Companion hours cost less than hands-on hours. Mixing them is normal and changes nothing administratively.

No long contract

Arranged week by week, ended by either side on reasonable notice.

Up and down as needed

More hours after a bad fortnight, fewer when things settle. Changed by a telephone call.

Invoiced against what happened

Billed on visits actually made, with the notes from those visits behind them.

Nothing owed for the introduction

The meeting that starts everything is not a billable visit, and nothing is signed at it.

What we do not handle

  • Claims or paperwork for any public programme
  • Long-term care insurance claim submissions on your behalf
  • Veterans' benefit applications
  • Financial, tax or estate advice of any kind
  • Billing a third party directly for the hours
  • Any arrangement where the payer is not the family arranging care

Ask the rate on the first call

You should not have to sit through a home visit to find out what an hour costs. Here you do not.
